Adriaan Zondag worked as a Training and Research Fellow at Clingendael until April 2019. He designed & coordinated training programs for Dutch and foreign professionals. These included the training programme for Dutch junior diplomats, also known as ‘het Klasje’, and training programs for diplomats from Europa, Asia, and Africa. He was furthermore responsible for the training programme supporting the implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Torture (UNCAT) by the government of Vietnam. Next to his role as course coordinator, he taught courses in international law, diplomatic immunities and provided skills training in debating, presentation skills and effective communication.
Adriaan holds an MA in International Relations from the Utrecht University, with a specialisation in international security issues and transatlantic relations. In Utrecht, he also obtained a BA in English Language and Culture with a minor in History and multiple courses from the LL.B. and LL.M. Public International Law study programs.
