Eva Oldenbuerger joined the Clingendael Institute in July 2021 and took on the role of Academy Project Fellow.  As such, she coordinates, develops and provides a wide range of training courses for, amongst others, humanitarian aid workers and diplomats.

Prior to joining the Clingendael Institute, Eva worked with humanitarian NGOs in Greek refugee camps. In Greece she also set up a watersports program, which allows refugees to address their water fears, after crossing the Mediterranean.

Eva holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from Wageningen University. Within her degree she specialized in the Sociology of Conflict and Disasters. In addition she holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a specialization in South and Southeast Asia from Leiden University. During her studies Eva worked with the Dutch Relief Alliance, focusing on communication and advocacy.
