Sico van der Meer is a Senior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. His research focuses on weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical and biological weapons), cybersecurity, hybrid conflict, as well as on the bigger picture of international security in general. He is also a part-time Lecturer at Leiden University, teaching the course ‘The Politics and Strategy of Weapons of Mass Destruction’.
Sico is a historian by education, started his career as a journalist, and has been working in the Dutch security-related think tank sector for some 25 years now (SMK, TNO, Clingendael).
