Sico van der Meer is a Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. His research focuses on non-conventional weapons such as Weapons of Mass Destruction (nuclear, chemical, biological) and cyber weapons from a strategic policy perspective. Sico graduated from the Radboud University with a Master’s in History. Before joining the Clingendael Institute, he worked as a journalist and as a Fellow of a think tank on civil-military relations.
At the Clingendael Institute he was involved in projects for clients such as EU, OPCW, NATO, OSCE, various Ministries in the Netherlands, US State Department, UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, PAX, Geneva Nuclear Disarmament Initiative, etc. He has also been seconded to the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to Eindhoven Technical University.
