In the first round of the French presidential election, President Emmanuel Macron took the top spot with 28% of the vote and Marine Le Pen with 23%. The second round is scheduled to be held on 24 April. Will Emmanuel Macron get five more years?
In the first round of the French presidential election, President Emmanuel Macron took the top spot with 28% of the vote and Marine Le Pen with 23%. The turnout was the lowest percentage in 20 years, at around 74 percent. The same two candidates also received the most votes five years ago. The second round will take place on April 24. Will Emmanuel Macron become president for another five years?
